Lyrics

In the history of the polka genre in America, there have always been some songs that carried English language lyrics. Some of them are beautiful, but there have been relatively few to choose from.

Shop Our Lyrics Collection

Good news! We have developed original English language (and one Spanish language) lyrics to some of those beautiful original Vitak-Elsnic polkas and waltzes. Some are legacy, but most are completely new. And the themes include more than dancing, being in love or drinking beer (not that there is anything wrong with any of that!). Some of these lyrics have Christian themes, for those looking for new selections for polka-themed church services. Other examples of the diversity of the new lyrics include a tribute to a wounded warrior returning home, the story of a precocious 4-year old little boy, and the observations of a dancing blackbird.

We have a chart that indicates whether the lyrics have been written for male, female, or duet vocalists, as well as what musical arrangements they can be used with.

Lyrics may be purchased separately if you already own the music. We include the lyrics at no extra charge (FREE!) for orders of new charts or sheet music for the same titles.

The chart below indicates whether they lyrics have been written for male, female or duet vocalists, as well as what musical arrangements – which we carry – that they can be used with.

And more good news – the lyrics are only $5.00 each and can be instantly downloaded and printed out. To go to the complete list of lyrics click here.
